Editing Your Optimized Resume
After Pronto optimizes your resume, you can review and edit the result before downloading.
Entering edit mode
Your resume is shown in a preview panel after optimization. To edit it:
On desktop:
- Look for the toolbar above the resume panel
- Click the Edit button (pencil icon)
- A banner appears at the bottom of the screen: "✎ Edit Mode Active — Click fields to edit"
- Click any text on the resume to edit it directly
- When you're done, click Done to exit edit mode
On mobile:
- Tap the Edit tab in the bottom navigation bar (between Preview and AI)
- A form-based editor opens where you can update each field
- Tap back to Preview to see your changes
What you can edit
In edit mode, all text on the resume is directly editable:
- Your name, contact info, and job title
- Your summary or objective
- Job titles, company names, and date ranges
- Bullet points under each role
- Education details
- Skills
Customizing fonts, colors, and templates
To change your resume's design, click the Customize button (labeled BETA) in the toolbar above the resume. This opens a panel with:
- Template — choose from multiple resume layouts
- Font — pick an ATS-friendly typeface
- Color — choose an accent color for headers
Note: Template selection is a Pro feature. Fonts and colors may be accessible on all plans.
Downloading your resume
When you're happy with the result, click Download Resume PDF to save a print-ready PDF.
Your cover letter (if generated) downloads separately as a Word (.docx) file using the Download button on the Cover Letter tab.
