Editing Your Optimized Resume

After Pronto optimizes your resume, you can review and edit the result before downloading.

Entering edit mode

Your resume is shown in a preview panel after optimization. To edit it:

On desktop:

  1. Look for the toolbar above the resume panel
  2. Click the Edit button (pencil icon)
  3. A banner appears at the bottom of the screen: "✎ Edit Mode Active — Click fields to edit"
  4. Click any text on the resume to edit it directly
  5. When you're done, click Done to exit edit mode

On mobile:

  1. Tap the Edit tab in the bottom navigation bar (between Preview and AI)
  2. A form-based editor opens where you can update each field
  3. Tap back to Preview to see your changes

What you can edit

In edit mode, all text on the resume is directly editable:

  • Your name, contact info, and job title
  • Your summary or objective
  • Job titles, company names, and date ranges
  • Bullet points under each role
  • Education details
  • Skills

Customizing fonts, colors, and templates

To change your resume's design, click the Customize button (labeled BETA) in the toolbar above the resume. This opens a panel with:

  • Template — choose from multiple resume layouts
  • Font — pick an ATS-friendly typeface
  • Color — choose an accent color for headers

Note: Template selection is a Pro feature. Fonts and colors may be accessible on all plans.

Downloading your resume

When you're happy with the result, click Download Resume PDF to save a print-ready PDF.

Your cover letter (if generated) downloads separately as a Word (.docx) file using the Download button on the Cover Letter tab.
